Board Care Guide
Crafted to last. Cared for with love.
Your boardward piece is made from premium American hardwood and built to stand the test of time. With just a little care, it will remain a beautiful part of your home for years to come.
How to Clean
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap after use.
- Avoid soaking or submerging your board in water.
- Never place your board in the dishwasher — it’s tough, but not that kind of tough.
How to Dry
- Dry your board thoroughly with a towel after cleaning.
- Stand it upright or lay flat in a well-ventilated area to ensure it dries completely.
How to Condition
- Every few weeks (or when your board looks dry), apply a food-safe mineral oil or board butter.
- Rub the oil in with a soft cloth, let it absorb for a few hours or overnight, then wipe off any excess.
What to Avoid
- Do not use bleach, harsh detergents, or abrasive scrubbers.
- Avoid exposing your board to extreme heat or direct sunlight for long periods.
- Don’t cut directly on your board with serrated or heavy-duty knives if preserving the finish is a priority.
Aging Gracefully
- Your board may deepen in tone or develop subtle marks over time. This is part of its story. Like all things crafted with care, it only gets better with age.
